Employee Opportunities for the Bobcat Community

March 15, 2022

The pandemic caused UC Merced to pivot to virtually connecting students and alumni with employers interested in hiring them for internships and full-time jobs. After two years of virtual events this week, the Center for Career & Professional Advancement is once again hosting companies on campus whose goal is to recruit students and alumni.

The three-day event starts on Tuesday, March 15, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kolligian Library. The event will allow students and alumni to speak to renowned companies about joining their teams.

“Employers who actively engage on campus do so because they acknowledge the value of a UC Merced education,” Director of Employer Connections and Internships Liz Atilano said. “Companies recognize that our students graduate with outstanding academic preparation enhanced by proven leadership, service and internship experiences. Our students graduate career-ready and able to make an immediate impact in their chosen field.”

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (SF Fed) will be holding on-campus interviews for students and alumni on Tuesday and Wednesday.

“We look forward to being able to conduct in person interviews and to make offers for several roles in our IT group,” Director, People Success and Rewards at SF Fed Redge Roberts said. “We recognize the tremendous talent that UC Merced nurtures and we look forward to starting a long-lasting partnership.”

On Wednesday and Thursday, Techtronic Industries (TTI), a world-class leader in design, manufacturing, and marketing of power tools, outdoor power equipment and more, will be on campus speaking to potential candidates.
