Founded by the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) in 1951, National Engineers Week is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers.
This year, Engineers Week runs from Feb. 20-26, and to celebrate the students, faculty, alumni, programs and accomplishments, all nine UC campuses that have engineering schools or programs collaborated to present some of the most interesting stories from the past year.
The stories are collected on a website built by UC Davis and they follow this year's theme: Reimagining the Possible. Each day this week, stories from each campus will be shared via social media and can be viewed on the website. Each day also has a theme, including Human Health and Artificial Intelligence. Communicators from each campus have chosen the most interesting and impactful stories to share.
UC Davis also created a video featuring all nine campuses, along with some statistics about UC engineering, which can be seen on the Newsroom site, under Video Spotlight.
Please join us in celebrating UC Merced’s School of Engineering and its contributions to the greater UC engineering efforts, its many students, alumni and successes. Together, the UC engineering schools are educating and training tomorrow's leaders and changing the world by creating solutions and developing technologies that address the most pressing challenges.
