Want a taste of what the Dining Pavilion has in store for the campus community this fall? On Monday and Tuesday, you’ll have the chance for your own sneak peek.
Our UC Merced chefs are offering free food samples to patrons between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. during an insiders-only soft launch on Aug. 6 and 7. It will also be the first time most people on campus will have the chance to explore the new 600-seat facility that overlooks Little Lake.
“We want the campus to see what we’ve been cooking up,” said Martin Reed, executive director of student affairs auxiliaries. “It’s a great time for our staff to showcase the work they’ve been doing behind the scenes while preparing for day-to-day operations when the semester begins.”
After the soft launch, the Pavilion will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. most days. Once the semester begins, the facility will serve patrons from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
