During college, she gained practical experience working in the human resources department at Macy’s. Upon graduation, she worked in human resources for E. & J. Gallo Winery. After three years of commuting to
Her friendly, easygoing spirit landed her a position on UC Merced’s
development team. As development officer for the division of
University Relations, Rose uses her previous experience and her warm, caring personality to attract external resources for the campus. A large part of her role is educating the public about the university and its mission.
Rose values the relationships she cultivates with campus donors and friends and is inspired by their generosity. Her role in matching a donor’s passion with a need on campus helps him or her create a legacy to leave for his or her family that will affect generations to come.
“It is an exciting and unique opportunity to meet wonderful people who are kind and want to make a difference,” she said. “Together, we can enhance the UC Merced experience for our students.”
