Summer Events Offer Something for Students Wanting to Beat the Heat and Take a Break

It may be summer, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to do at UC Merced. For students enrolled in Summer Session, the Office of Student Life has a robust schedule of events to keep folks entertained.

Events include:

  • June 20 — Breakfast with Faculty; 10 a.m. to Noon; Bobcat Lair.
  • June 25 — Movie Night; residents vote on movies shown; 6 p.m.; Den.
  • June 28 — Paint Night; 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m.
  • July 9 — Movie Night; residents vote on movies shown; 6 p.m.; Crescent Arch Room.
  • July 11 — Breakfast with Faculty; 10 a.m. to Noon; Bobcat Lair.
  • July 21 — Santa Cruz trip — 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.; $20 refundable deposit secures your space; registration opens in early July.
  • July 23 — Movie Night; residents vote on movies shown; 6 p.m.; Alpine Room.
  • July 24 — Tacos, Tunes and Trivia; 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Bobcat Lair.
  • Aug. 2 — Summer barbecue; 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Lake Yosemite.
  • Aug. 20 — Welcome Back block Party; 8 a.m. to midnight; Muir Pass.
