Peer Learning Support Boosts Student Success

April 21, 2015

From the moment students walk onto campus, they have access to countless resources, including the Peer Assisted Support Learning Support (PALS) program, which is part of the Calvin E. Bright Success Center.

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to stop by the California Room from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on April 22 to learn more about the services PALS provides and enjoy food, games and prizes. Learning assistants and staff members will be available to talk about the program’s resources.

PALS offers students free, peer-led learning support sessions on many subjects — from chemistry to writing — to help them succeed at UC Merced. There are between 15 and 25 sessions scheduled each day across campus and students are welcome to walk in at any time.
