Impact: Medical Education Program to Serve Valley

&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Fourth-generation San Joaquin Valley resident Kelly Fujikawa always planned to practice medicine in the San Joaquin Valley.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;The UC Merced San Joaquin Valley Program in Medical Education will help her do just that.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&quot;There&#39;s no better program than the San Joaquin Valley PRIME program to train exactly where I want to work,&quot; said Fujikawa, of Fowler.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;The program represents a critical step in meeting the region&#39;s health and health care needs. UC Merced and UC Davis announced in September a partnership to begin educating medical students in the Valley. &lt;br/&gt;&nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;/description&gt;
