Mandatory Compliance Training

August 28, 2018

Dear Colleagues,

The University of California is committed to providing a safe and fair workplace for its employees. Mandatory Compliance Trainings are required for all UC employees and help reinforce a healthy and vibrant campus community here at UC Merced. Employees can log into the UC Learning Center and select the “Required Training” icon to learn more about specific deadlines and what trainings have been completed or may still be required.

Effective Spring 2017, the UC Office of the President issued a system-wide mandate that all employees complete mandatory compliance training. Failure to complete trainings by their required due dates may have a negative effect on performance appraisal ratings, and policy-covered staff may experience a mandatory reduction in merit pay. For more information on this policy, see here .

Each year, some employees fail to meet this requirement because they overlook the deadline or fail to click through the final links at the end of the training to register their completion. Our offices recommend that you create calendar reminders for all mandatory trainings ( found here ). The UC Learning Center generates a confirmation email upon the completion of all trainings. If you do not receive a confirmation email, make sure to confirm you have completed all steps required in the training.

Please take the opportunity to stay current with the trainings that apply to you. If you have questions or technical difficulties, contact hrtraining@ucmerced.edu .

Sincerely,

Luanna Putney
